Simulation of CCK-OFDM Systems

CCK-OFDM is an optional standard of Wireless LAN criterion (IEEE802. 11g), which combines the advantages of the CCK and OFDM performance, enhances the ability of anti-multipath, narrowband interference suppression and frequency-selective fading suppression, and will play a very important role in future network data transmissions. Based on introducing the principles of CCK and OFDM briefly, a simulation framework of the CCK-OFDM system is proposed, the system performance under AWGN channels and the Rayleigh fading channels is simulated by Monte Carlo using Matlab. Without reducing the coding efficiency, the CCK-OFDM system acquires about 3dB Gain in BER performance than the OFDM system ,as the simulation result indicated.
