Magnetic Field Generating Device Based on Helmholtz Coils' Theory

Hardware-in-the-loop simulation of geomagnetic matching navigation plays an important role in the process such as basic theory research,engineering implementation as well as approved weapon system appraisement.In order to generate three-component magnetic field for hardware-in-the-loop simulation of geomagnetic,a magnetic field generating device base on the helmholtz coils' theory is designed and produced by nonmagnetic materials.The magnetic field distribution of the axis inside the helmholtz coils is deduced by Biot-Savart law,the magnetic field distribution and the uniformity areas of the coils are gotten by simulation,and the uniformity areas in different relative variables is obtained by calculation.The device is tested by simulation and by experiment respectively.simulation and experiment results show that the proposed device is an effective device with high accuracy,high stability and satisfied uniformity areas to provide three-component magnetic field for geomagnetic matching navigation hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
