Grafting modification of lignosulfonate and acrylic acid

The viscosity,the yield of the production and the influence from the different initiators on modification ratio of the sodium lignosulfonate were investigated.By using the optimal initiator K2S2O8,and the orthogonal design in the graft copolymerization,the effect of the dosage of initiator,the reaction temperature and monocase crylic acid dose on the viscosity of the product were studied.The optimum conditions were chosen.The product structure was charactered by the infrared spectrum.The antiscaling performance and mechanism of the graft copolymer were studied by scanning electron microscope and mensurating the antiscaling rate of the product.The results indicated that the optimum conditions of the reaction are: ω(K2S2O8)=2%,80 ℃ of the reaction temperature,and 8% content of the acrylic acid.Modified product LA leads to lattice distortion of calcium carbonate crystals and markedly improved antiscale performance.Thus it is an excellent environment-friendly antiscale.
