Screening of Stylosanthes guianensis Genotypes Tolerant to Low Phosphorus Stress on Acid Soil of South China

Tolerance of 14 Stylosanthes guianensisgenotypes,growing acid soil in the South of China,to low phosphorus stress were compared by using their yields at low phosphorus level and decrease degree of yield,and their phosphorus uptake and utilization efficiency were analyzed.The results showed that Stylosanthes guianensis cv.Z13 was tolerant genotype,and Stylosanthes guianensis cv.Z19 and Stylosanthes guianensis cv.Z29 were not tolerant genotypes.Compared with the two intolerant genotypes Stylosanthes guianensis cv.Z13 had higher tolerance to low phosphorus stress because of higher phosphorus uptake efficiency.
