Effects of Ethanol Extracts from Bamboo Shoot on Activity of Tyrosinase

The inhibitions of ethanol extracts from bamboo shoots on monophenolase and diphenolase of tyrosinase were tested,taking kojic acid and arbutin as control,and L-Tryosine and pyrocatechin as substrates.The results showed that at the concentration of 1.0 mg/ml,ethanol extract of Latiflorus mcclure flesh displayed the strongest inhibition against tyrosinase monophenolase,with inhibitory rate of 45.97%,close to that in 0.1 mg/ml kojic acid treatment,and higher than that in 0.1 mg/ml arbutin treatment.The order of inhibitory effects of ethanol extracts on tyrosinase monophenolase was: Latiflorus mcclure flesh Phyllostachys pubescens flesh in spring Latiflorus mcclure shell Phyllostachys pubescens shell in spring Phyllostachys pubescens shell in winter Phyllostachys pubescens flesh in winter Phyllostachys pracecox shell Phyllostachys pracecox flesh.At the concentration of 1.0 mg/ml,ethanol extract of Latiflorus mcclure shell showed the highest inhibition action on tyrosinase diphenolase,with inhibitory rate being 30.05%,higher than those in 0.08 mg/ml kojic acid and 0.08 mg/ml arbutin treatments.The order of inhibitory effects of ethanol extracts on tyrosinase diphenolase was: Latiflorus mcclure shell Latiflorus mcclure flesh Phyllostachys pubescens shell in spring Phyllostachys pubescens shell in winter Phyllostachys pubescens flesh in winter Phyllostachys pracecox shell Phyllostachys pubescens flesh in spring Phyllostachys pracecox flesh.
