Creep Damage Evaluation based on the Confidence Level of 5Cr-0.5Mo Heat-resistant Steel

Robinson's rule as a simple method is widely used to predict the creep life and damage for many elevated temperature components.This paper mainly investigates the Robinson's rule of creep damage evaluation based on the Z-parameter method and proposes that the accumulated damage estimated by the Robinson's rule is related to the confidence level.From the investigation of 5Cr-0.5Mo NRIM data,the results show that the predicted life by the Z-parameter method varies greatly from the confidence level.At a certain stress and temperature,the higher the confidence level,the more the damage accumulation.
