Reliability Analysis of Rupture Life Prediction of 18Cr-12Ni-Mo Steel

A Z-parameter method based on Manson-Haferd used in reliability analysis of the life of 18Cr-12Ni-Mo stainless steel was proposed,where parameter Z described the degree of deviation of rupture property from the Manson-Haferd master curve.The data of 18Cr-12Ni-Mo stainless steel had been studied to evaluate the distribution of the Z-parameter.Reliability prediction of rupture life was performed according to the Z-parameter.The results indicated that the experiment data scattered around the master curve and the normal distribution is well supported by the parameter Z.As the rupture life increased,the reliability reduced.
