Microstructure and properties of 16MnMoVA steel after subcritical quenching

By electronic tensile experiment testing and image analysis(quantitative metallography),microstructure and properties of 16MnMoVA steel used as expansive tubes were investigated under untreated,different temperatures quenched,and different temperatures quenched add tempered.The results show that the steel martensite thransformation during quenching,causes a large residual stress.Martensite transforms to tempered sorbite after tempering,it has good properties.Bauschinger effect is minimum at 740 ℃ and 860 ℃ under pre-strain of 3%.
