Deformation Control Technology for Shallow-covered Double-Track Railway Tunnels underneath Buildings

The tunneling of the shallow-covered section of Shitouqiao tunnel in Grade V surrounding-rocks on Longyan-Xiamen railway is taken as a study case in this paper.On the basis of analysis and calculation of the ground loss,the ground surface deformation caused by the ground loss and the influence rule of the cover depth on the ground surface deformation,the control of the ground surface deformation in shallow-covered section is graded and countermeasures are proposed for different control grades of ground surface deformation.Accordingly,the tunneling speed is guaranteed by the successful control of the ground surface settlement.
