Enzyme in the production of functional oligosaccharide (The second part)

HU Xue-zhi(Bioengineering Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Shanghai,200000)
This article introduces the production of oligoxylan and oligogalactose. Some relative enzymes for this oligosaccharide are also discussed in this article.Oligoxylan is composed of xylan molecule(2~7) and β bond(1~4).Some xylan-rich plant materials, such as bagasse, corncob, cottonseed crust and harden wood are expanded with high-pressure air and processed with pickle and lye. Then with xylanase, the extracted xylan is hydrolyzed into oligoxylan. With lactose as raw material, oligogalactose is transferred from gabiolacta. It is composed of galactose radical β(1~6),β(1~4) and some galactose molecule.
