Prediction for the mooney-viscosity of SBR based on PCA and LS-SVM

Mooney-viscosity is the main quality index of Synthetic Rubber.Monitoring the mooney-viscosity effectively and realizing au- tomatic quality control of production process is an urgent problem in rubber industry.This paper proposes a prediction model of the mooney-viscosity based on PCA and LS-SVM.First,several major parameters affecting the mooney-viscosity were chosen based on mechanism analysis.Principal components were extracted by PCA and used as secondary variables of LS-SVM.Then,a prediction model for the mooney-viscosity was established by LS-SVM.The simulation results show that the maximum relative error of mooney-vis- cosity was 5.78%.The model features high accuracy,good approximation and generalization ability.This data may be used to guide efficiently production.
