Synthesis of ultra-fine PbWO_4 by soft template method

Lead tungstate combines the anti-radiation propertie of tungsten and lead,and manufacturing ultra-fine granularity lead tungstate to enhance its capacity to radiation is quite distinctive.The grain size of lead tungstate has direct impact on the ability of its protection from radioactive materials,with smaller the grain size and more uniform dispersion of lead tungstate,the better protective ability it going to be.In this paper,soft-template synthesis was introduced to prepare ultra-fine PbWO_4.Rigorous experiment conditions are settled to ensure access to ultra-fine,homogeneous lead tungstate product better than other physical and chemical preparation methods.The surface-active agent for the soft template,with the S-60 for the water system W/O microemulsion zone successfully synthesized ultra-fine PbWO_4.Results show that dispersing agent S-60 in the soft template method produced ultra-fine PbWO_4 with uniform granularity distribution.While using orthogonal experimental method to create the best experimental conditions:the S-60 as surfactant dispersant in diluted 30 times concentration,pH=9,the concentration of reactant was 0.01 mol/L, stirring speed at 1 300 rpm and slowly add drops of Na_2WO_4 solution into Pb(Ac)_2 solution.Then the product of ultra-fine product for the anti-radiation protection filler has been made.
