Integration and optimization of water cooling tower system

A multi-object optimization mathematics model of minimizing the cycle water and the number of water streams is established to seek for the structure of water network which have both the lest cooling water and the lest number of water streams of the whole cycle system.A flexible constant is intrduced to this model to increase the design flexibility of the recycled water network.The multi-objective optimization problem is transformed into a sequential single-object optimization problem for the recycled water network through step optimization in this paper.The optimized recycled water network needs less recycled water and has less number of water streams which is more economical based on the examples.In addition,the water network could be further optimised by adjusting the flexible constant.
