The Finite Element Analysis for the Lattice Boom of 80t Crawler-type crane

The lattice boom of 80t crawler-type crane is a kind of truss structure,which is hard to get its stress(distribution) by traditional methods.Due to the difficulty in modeling the pulley system,the fly boom and the main boom have to be analyzed separately.In order to circumvent these problems,the finite element method is used,and the whole model of the boom system is built based on the simulation of the pulley system.The stress distribution of the boom is(obtained) and studied to verify its strength,stiffness and stability.
