The Influence of WEDM Electrical Parameters on Machining of SKD11

In order to study the influence of WEDM electrical parameters on surface roughness and material removal rate of SKD11,pulse discharge time,pulse gap time,peak current and gap voltage were selected as test factors,surface roughness and material removal rate were selected as test indexes for single factor test. The results showed that with the increase of pulse discharge time,the material removal rate increased,and the surface roughness increased. When the pulse gap time increased,the material removal rate reduced,but the surface roughness decreased,reaching the minimum when the pulse gap time was 35 μs; The influence of peak current on two test parameters was consistent with the pulse discharge time. With the increase of the gap voltage,the material removal rate increased,and the surface roughness increased.
