Application of ANSYS finite element technology to topology design optimization for stiffened plate and shell structures

Structural topology design optimization is one of the most effective approaches to cut costs and to improve the mechanical performance of structures. Based on the ANSYS analysis, the layout of the stiffeners on the plate and shell structures can be rationally designed. Thus the analysis method of the stiffened plate and shell structures by using APDL-ANSYS Parametric Design Language is introduced.
