Performance analysis of cold die material and its application

Mold materials as the basis for production molds,its performance and heat treatment process on the die life have a decisive impact.Cold mold performance requirements including wear resistance,toughness,strength,anti-fatigue and anti-bite nature.Cold mold material properties of heat treatment process include: hardenability,hardened resistance,tempered nature,thermal sensitivity,oxidation of decarbonization trend,quenching deformation and crack orientation.Cold die steel can be classified according to composition and performance of carbon tool steel,high carbon low-alloy steel,high wear-resistant die steel,high-speed steel substrate steel,non-magnetic die steel,cemented carbide and steel bond hard alloy.A reasonable selection of cold-working die materials,and forming a precise and appropriate heat treatment,can effectively improve the life of mold.
