3DP System Development Based on Lnkjet Printer and its Experimental Research

Three Dimensional Printing(3DP)is one of the most promising technology in the rapid prototyping(RP)field,with broad application prospects.By studying the principle of 3DP,in order to solve the problems brought by the widespread use of thermal inkjet technology currently,piezoelectric inkjet technology was proposed in molding materials and bonding materials jet.The methods and key technologies of developing 3DP system based on piezoelectric inkjet printer were discussed.And a new 3DP system was developed according to this idea,then the powder formula,powder spreading method,printing layer thickness as well as slice orientation,other parameters were studied in order to improve system's performance.Experimental results verified that,the rapid prototyping system developed could fabricate models which fine bores is 0.5mm in diam,0.8 mm in thickness,with scale error within ±0.2mm.
