Study on Curve-Passing Performance of the Electric Flatcar

Rail vehicles should not only have good high-speed running performance but also have excellent curve passing performance. Since the curving performance of railway vehicles with large wheelbase is poor. Takes a certain type of railway construction of special electric flat car for example. And establishes the vehicle/track coupling dynamics model with multibody dynamics software SIMPACK. Analyzes the curve passing dynamic performance of the flatcar under traction conditions and self condition. The results showe that the adhesion coefficient decreases with the increasement of the speed while passing300 m curve under traction conditions. The creepforce synchronous' increasement causes the rapid development of wheel/rail wear. The synchronous transverse impacts of the front and rear wheelsets are in the opposite direction under self conditions.
