The Study for Effect of Outer Race Waviness on the Dynamic Behavior of Cylindrical Roller Bearing

Considering the outer race waviness,the interaction between the roller and raceway is analyzed,and the forces and moments are also obtained. Based on the Newton-Euler method, the model for cylindrical roller bearing system is constructed,and the fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration method with variable steps is used to solve the model. The effect of outer race waviness on the dynamic behavior of cylindrical roller bearing is studied. The result shows that a strong vibration would occur when the number of outer race waviness is equal to or several times the roller number;the vibration amplitude of the cage at its rotation frequency could magnify as the waviness number goes up; a severe vibration and increasing vibration amplitude arise as the maximum amplitude of waviness increases. All of these provide a theoretical foundation for the design and noise analysis of bearings.
