Construction of Educational Quality Indicators Based on Students' Campus Experiences and Learning Outcomes for Higher Education

Recently, research on quality and effectiveness of higher education has pointed out the importance of understanding students' academic and social involvement and gains, such as their campus experiences and learning outcomes, in addition to the input aspect, stresses the process and outcomes aspects, on the evaluation of higher education institutes. Based on related literatures, the researchers have selected questionnaire items from "Taiwan Higher Education Survey" on college juniors for the purpose of constructing educational quality indicators. Research findings and conclusion are as follows: first, six process indicators are identified from survey data; secondly, both process indicators and outcome indicators are significantly linked to students' perceived educational quality; and as a result, this model of educational quality indicators based on students' learning experiences and outcomes is recommended for the evaluation of higher education institutes.
