Analysis on the physics fields for the complex three-dimension groove milling inserts

Taking the waved-edge milling insert(the curve rake plane) developed by the Harbin University of Science and Technology as an example,this paper has the analysis on the physics fields for the complex three-dimension groove milling inserts.On the basis of the milling force mathematical model,we build the force density function for the waved-edge milling inserts.We have the stress field analysis based on the force density function.Based on the milling temperature mathematical model,we build the heat density function for the waved-milling insert.We have the temperature field analysis based on the heat density function.In order to discuss the distribution principle of equivalent stress and distortion under coupling condition,we have the coupling analysis on the stress field and temperature field.All these studies will provide a theoretic base for the groove optimization technology.
