MYCELIAL GROWTH, PROTEIN SYNTHESIS AND ESTERASE ISOZYME COMPOSITIONS OF THREE MORCHELLA SPECIES

The outputs and contents of total protein and soluble protein in mycelia of three different Morchella species, M. angusticeps, M. conica and M. esculenta statistical have no significant deviations in the same medium. The contents of total protein and soluble protein of the mycellia did not show significant difference, but the outputs did when each of the three species was cultured in a medium with maltose, peptone and vitamin B1 at differnt concentrations. The PAGE and SDS-PAGE spectra and esterase isozyme compositions of soluble protein also exhibited some difference in mycelia growing in different media.
