CORRELATION BETWEEN THE GROWTH OF ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI IN THE RHIZOSPHERE AND THE FLAVONOID CONTENT IN THE ROOT OF GINKGO BILOBA

In this experiment, the author found that the infection of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, propagulum density of the fungi in the rhizosphere and flavonoid content in the root of Ginkgo biloba were variable periodically. These increased gradually from March and reached with a maximum in September,thereafter decreased, but still maintained higher value in December than March. The mathematic analysis showed that there was significant positive correlation between the infection and propagulum density ofarbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the rhizosphere and the flavonoid content in the root of Ginkgo biloba.
