Model Analysis of Involute Gear by Finite Element Method Based on ANSYS

The intrinsic vibration of involute cylindrical gear is investigated. The dynamic model of the gear is established by FEM(Finite element method) and modal analysis of the gear is investigated by ANSYS software. The natural frequency and major modes of the gear are got. The result can be used as a reference of dynamic design and lay foundation for calculation of dynamic response.
