Simulation Analysis of Transient Temperature Field of Automotive Drum Brake

Drum brake during braking not only related to contact stress field,temperature field caused by friction,and there is coupling effects between them.The transient temperature of an emergency braking condition is researched by using the direct thermo-elastic coupling field finite element method.Through the simulation calculation,the curve of brake drum rotation angular velocity change with time,the frictional contact area temperature distribution and time course curve of different positions of nodes are gained.
