University Teachers' Roles on Workshop Model

HUANG Yue (Department of Foreign Languages,Hunan University of Finance and Economics,Changsha,Hunan 410205,China)  
Compared with traditional classroom teaching,teaching on workshop model is a new,active and open teaching approach which is full of practicality,cooperation,joy,creation and creativity.Teachers have changed their traditional roles in the teaching model of workshop.Take classroom teaching of translation and interpretation under workshop model as an exemplar,the class is like a performance and the teachers have various roles such as playwrights,directors and actors or actresses.Because the requirements of the various roles,teachers on workshop teaching model are required to get more qualifications,such as enough knowledge,professional experience,an open mind,sense of participation,enthusiasm,organizational abilities and the abilities of being quick in response.
