Optimal Selection Technique of the Fixturing Scheme of Thin-walled Workpiece Based on the Residual Stress

The residual stress is an important factor to influence the machining accuracy. Therefore, it is significant to guide the thin-walled workpiece machining operation when finite element method is used to analyze and optimize the fixturing scheme. Under the condition of the residual stress, the relationship between the fixturing scheme and machining deformation is studied in this paper. On the other hand, the optimal design approach, in which minimal machining deformation and fixturing scheme are respectively design objective and variable, is proposed, so that the machining deformation of the thin-walled workpiece can be controlled.
