Modeling and Analysis of Sandwich Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Transducer Based on ANSYS

The 3D model of the sandwich piezoelectric transducer was established by using Solid Works software. The simplified,and non-simplified finite element analysis models of the piezoelectric transducer were established by ANSYS Workbench. A frequency harmonic response analysis was performed,and the respective resonance frequencies were calculated. The resonance frequency of the sandwich piezoelectric transducer was also measured by impedance meter. The three kinds of resonance frequencies were compared and analyzed. The results show that the resonance frequency of the simplified model is lower than that measured by impedance meter,and the resonance frequency of non-simplified model is higher than that measured by impedance meter. But the resonance frequency of non-simplified model is closer to the resonance frequency measured by impedance meter..
