Objective To study the chart report mode for increased neutrophils in dropsy of serous cavity. Methods 125 patients were divided into low, middle and high value groups according to the proportion of neutrophils in effusion, and the exprimental results were compared with the relevant final clinical diagnosis. Results Primary increased neutrophils were mostly consisted by the average value group (58.97%),Secondary increased neutrophils are mostly consisted by higher-value group (56.98%). Effusion smears revealed 40 cases with eosinophilic necrosis components,3 cases with fungal spores and 9 cases with bacterial inflammation. There were 17 positive samples among 93 cases of bacterial culture,31 cases were found out nuclear heterogeneous cells. Conclusion The chart report mode for different neutrophil ratio and background is helpful to clinical diagnosis and treatment.
