Technique of Lower Spit Grafting with Soil Covering on Hybrid Liriodendron

A Technique of lower spit grafting with soil covering on Hybrid Liriodendron was developed,which could result in 87.4% of grafting survival rate.This technique was featured by lower grafting junction,which easily made callus by joining the base of grafting to the crown of rootstock,the most vital part,and by soil covering after grafting in early spring,which had good heat and moist preservation and helped graft coalesce survive.
