A Study on Eco-hydrological Effect of Evergreen Broad-leaved Forests in Dagangshan Mountain,Jiangxi Province

Using the method of water-balance, watershed experiment technique and located observation, based on the data and information collected from May 2000a to June 2004a, the eco-hydrological effect of ever green broad-leaved forest ecosystem in Dagangshan Mountain was studied. Some research results are as follows: (1) In the water balance of crown level, through-fall, stem-flow and interception make up, 76.8, 5.4 and 17.8 percent of the total precipitation of the same period, respectively, and the proportions of through-fall, stem-flow and interception in total precipitation are 0~80.1%?0~10.6% and 9.4%~100% in one-off precipitation,respectively. (2)The liter layer at the forest stand is 3 cm in depth, with the existing amount of 17 200 kg/hm~2;the effective moisture holding capacity is 3.21 mm; the order of maximum moisture holding capacity of the litter layer in different forest types is Pinus massoniana-quercus Plantation ever green broad-leaved natural forest Chinese Fir Plantation Phyllostachys pubescens Plantation. (3) The ever green broad-leaved forest ecosystem performs eco-hydrological functions in water conservation, protection of water and soil erosion, regulation of runoff, as well as mitigation of natural disasters such as drought and flood; and its comprehensive regulation capacity of eco-hydrological functions reaches 129.31 mm.
