Effects of Nitrogen Application and Plant Density on Yield and Its Components of Super High Hybrid Rice Zhongyou 752

The experiment of nitrogen application and plant density was carried out with three-line Indica hybrid middle season rice Zhongyou 752.The result were as follows:(1) The grain yield of Zhongyou 752 was significantly increased with the nitrogen application from 0 to 240 kg/hm2,and also increased with the increase of the N rate of the top-dressing during the middle-late stage at the same application levels of nitrogen(240 kg/hm2).The yield was the highest which the percentage of grain and spike nitrogen accounts for 60%,and the plant density was 20 cm×30 cm.The results showed that the yield of Zhongyou 752 was mainly affected by effective panicles and spikelets per panicle.(2) With the nitrogen application from 0 to 300 kg/hm2,increasing nitrogen application could reduce the percentage of productive tiller of Zhongyou 752.However,the increase of the N rate of the top-dressing during the middle-late stage and the decrease of density might enhance the percentage of productive tiller of Zhongyou 752.The spikelets abortion percentage was increased with the increasing nitrogen application,and decreased with the increasing N rate of the top-dressing during the middle-late stage and the decreasing density.There was a significant positive correlation between the ratio of shoot dry weight to LAI in the 2nd branch differentiation period and the percentage of productive tiller.
