Studies on Effect of Soil Water Treatment on Growth of Flue-cured Tobacco

The field contrast experiments of irrigation and no-irrigation at the each growth stage of flue-cured tobacco according to the weather characteristics and the present flue-cured tobacco production in Jiangxi province were carried out.The results indicated that adding the moisture of the soil properly was advantage to enlarging the leaf area,extending the roots and absorbing the nutrition in the soil,increasing growth rate of flue-cured tobacco and reducing the difference in temperature between air and leaf.The irrigation could improve the photosynthetic characteristics and promote the photosynthate accumulation and distribution,thus could improve the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco.
