Analysis of Drought-flood Characteristics in Ankang City Located at Upper Reaches of Hanjiang River in Recent 50 Years

Based on the data of the monthly precipitation in Ankang city located at the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River from 1961 to 2009,seven drought-flood grades were compartmentalized by Z-index.The temporal evolution law and causes of drought-waterlogging occurrence were analyzed.The results indicated that the Z-index could reflect the changeable features of drought-flood in Ankang city well.In the recent 50 years,Ankang city developed from partial waterlogging to partial drought,and it was in accordance with the yearly precipitation,which decreased at the rate of 4.9 mm per decade.The variable trends of Z-index in every season were different.In spring and autumn,the Z-index decreased slightly,and the drought trend was increasing.The Z-index in summer and winter increased,showing the flood trend was increasing.From 1982 to 1986,there was an apparent transformation of precipitation trend in Ankang city.The precipitation was decreasing in spring and autumn,and increasing in summer and winter during 1982~1986.Besides,the precipitation showed a character of large fluctuation and unstable after 1998.The interannual fluctuation amplitude of Z-index in the four seasons varied greatly,and droughts and floods increased significantly since 1998,especially since 2000.
