Study on Intelligent System for Precise and Water-saving Irrigation in Crop Production

Taking the protected grape in facility as target crop,the author developed a set of intelligent control system for crop irrigation in Lishui High-tech Agricultural Demonstration Garden,Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences.This system adopted wireless sensor networks(WSN) technique,which transferred the data of soil moisture and other environmental information exactly determined by sensors to a network monitor platform managed by computer.The computer could dispose,display and save the real-time data and information,and the irrigation intelligent controller could automatically and accurately control the irrigation water according to the water requirement threshold of crop set by crop scientists.The work of this intelligent system could make use of the irrigation water resource availably and result in a significant improvement of modern agricultural equipment level and management level.
