Difference Analysis and Core Index Selection of Physical Characteristics of Flue-cured Tobacco

Different grades of 971 flue-cured tobacco leaf samples were collected from various parts of tobacco plants and different producing areas of China during 2005 ~ 2010,and the difference analysis and grey relational clustering analysis of their physical characteristic indexes were carried out. The results indicated that the part of tobacco leaf was the first important factor affecting the physical characteristics of flue-cured tobacco,and the grade of tobacco leaf and producing area were the subordinate influencing factors. Tension stress,breaking elongation quantity and leaf specific weight could be selected as the core representative indexes of flue-cured tobacco physical characteristics according to the results of grey relational clustering analysis.
