PRACTICAL METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF STRESS RELAXATION AND CREEP DAMAGE IN HIGH TEMPERATURE STRUCTURES

The regularity of stress strain evolution history in high temperature structures under cycle loads with sustaining phases is analyzed and discussed. Based on this, the existing simplified methods for determining the course of multiaxial stress relaxation are reviewed briefly. Some modification is made in this paper to the method proposed in Ref.[5,6]. Finally, the stress relaxation and creep damage of a typical structure is analyzed by using the improved method. The comparison with the results of the detailed inelastic finite element analysis demonstrates the reliability and applicability of the method adopted in this paper.
