Objective:To provide theoretic basis for the diagnosis and treatment of renal parenchymal hypertension by the combination of Chinese and Western medicine, the relationship between the layout rules of TCM syndrome and renal pathology, the main prognostic factors has been analyzed. Methods:Via on-site survey, the TCM syndrome and lab testing profile of 132 renal parenchymal hypertension patients that have gone through biopsy have been collected for the analysis of the relevance between the layout rules of TCM syndrome and renal pathology, renal function staging(stage),and hypertension classification. Results:Among 132 cases investigated,105 cases(79.54%) were suffering deficiency syndrome in the view of TCM,among whom the deficiency syndrome is subdivided as follows:40(38.09%) are asthenia of both the spleen and kidney,38(36.19%) are kidney qi-yin asthenia, and 27(25.71%) are yin insufficiency of liver kidney.59(56.20%) patients belong to asthenia-sthenia syndrome complications, and merely 27(20.45%)patients are suffering sthenic syndrome which mainly includes internal retention of water, liver yang hyperactivity, and interior accumulation of dampness and turbid.IgA nephropathy is often shown as liver kidney yin insufficiency and internal retention of water, liver yang hyperactivity.Membranous nephropathy is normally in the form of liver yang hyperactivity or kidney qi-yin asthenia.Fat related glomerulopathy is mainly in the expression of interior accumulation of dampness and turbid. The classification of chronic kidney disease(CKD) is closely related to three deficiency syndrome. The third grade hypertension is often shown as liver kidney yin insufficiency. The second grade hypertension is normally in the form of liver yang hyperactivity, but the first grade hypertension is mainly in the expression of internal retention of water and interior accumulation of dampness and turbid. There is no significant correlation between the TCM syndrome and the gender, age, duration of hypertension, volume of 24-hour urinary protein. Conclusion:Asthenia of both the spleen and kidney, kidney qi-yin asthenia, liver kidney yin insufficiency are three main categories of TCM syndrome. The most often symptom is asthenia-sthenia syndrome complications.Different renal pathological damage, renal function duration and hypertension stage classification are to some extent related to TCM Syndrome.
