Progress of Research on Factors Affecting HDS Catalyst Activity

The effect of the factors like carrier,active component,promoter and catalyst preparation methods,etc.on the activity of HDS catalyst was summarized.A mesoporous material was used as the carrier for the preparation of HDS catalyst.This mesoporous material has high specific surface area and large pore size,and therefore has incomparable advantage in removing large molecule aromatic sulfur-containing sulfides in deep hydrodesulfurization process.Metal phosphide is a new material for the preparation of catalyst,and it has high activity,high stability and good sulfur poisoning resisting property.The use of promoter is beneficial to the preparation of catalyst and the improvement of catalytic performance.While impregnation method is a widely used method for preparing supported catalyst,supersonic-microwave method can create an active structure of nanoscale on the surface of catalyst and prepare a catalyst with high dispersion degree and high activity.
