Wheel pressure simulative calculation and actual measuring verification of 7500t floating crane turning support

Aimed at the multi wheeled pressure distribution problems of roller clip-jacket typed turning around support of 7500t full circle swinging floating crane under the working condition of turning around with load,the wheel pressure and its distribution law were obtained by adopting the calculation of finite element simulation method.Under the working conditions of the main hook range to be 42m and the maximum rated hoisting load to be 4000t,the wheel pressure of turning around support reaches a maximum value of 164.5t.Under every kind of operating conditions,the wheel pressure would make a linear increase along with the increment of hoisting load.The wheel pressures distribution under the front track girder presented a "double hump" curve while that of the back track girder was like an M curve.The distribution law of wheel pressure has a direct relationship with the collocation shape of upper structures of turning around support.Utilizing the strain typed indirect measurement method a field measurement was made on the wheel pressure under the operating condition of turning around which showed the measured result was rather tally with the result of simulated calculation.The feasibilities of simulative calculation method and strain typed indirect measurement method were validated.The wheel pressure value and its distribution law assured in this paper could provide basis for the design and optimization of floating crane structures.The being adopted researching method and train of thought of the combination of finite element simulative calculation and strain typed indirect measurement can be a reference for the distribution problems of multi-wheeled wheel pressure of other hoisting machineries.
