Numerical simulation on bending pipe parts of eccentric extrusion form

Eccentric extrusion method is used to achieve one shot extrusion forming process of pipe bending fittings in this paper,three-dimensional numerical simulation of extrusion forming process for bending aluminum-alloy pipe fittings was carried out with DEFORM-3D using finite element commercial software by using finite element method,velocity field distribution,material flow regularity,extruding force and stress field distribution of the eccentric extrusion process was analyzed.The mechanism of one shot extrusion direct forming bending pipe fitting was also introduced,and further studies had been carried out in terms of the mold design and practical tests of eccentric extrusion.
