A Study on the Contribution Made by Western Missionaries to Kangxi’s Court Administration

In the reign of Kangxi, a great number of western missionaries came to China. Using their own special knowledge, they ensured Emperor Kangxi’s ascending to the throne, and played a special role in suppressing the Three Feudatories, the successful sign of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Nerchinsk, suppressing Dzungar,making the map of Huang Yu Quan Lan Tu,constructing ideology.Although Kangxi took advantage of missionaries to serve the Qing Dynasty,what he did improved the communication between Chinese and Western culture.
