3-D COUPLED NUMERICAL SIMULATION FOR THE FLOW FIELD AND TEM PERATURE FIELD ON ELECTROMAGNETIC STIRRING IN BILLET CONTINUOUS CASTING

Based on the fundament of magneto-hydro-dy nami cs,3-D coupled numerical simulation model for the flow field and temperature fi eld is established on the electromagnetic force.The software is developed by met hods of SIMPLE(semi-implicit method for pressure linked equation)and finite con trol cubage.Effect on the flow field and temperature field is analyzed,which inc lude distribution rule of electromagnetic force and stir scope and drawing veloc ity and casting temperature.
