Waveform Analysis for Thoracic Impedance Differential Graphs of Six Leads

Objective To analyze the waveform of thoracic impedance differential graphs of six leads.Methods Sixty-three adults with normal cardiac function were selected as the subjects,including 32 males and 31 females.The thoracic impedance volume graphs were measured by six leads consisted of 3 current electrodes and 12 voltage electrodes simultaneously.Then differential graphs of six leads were obtained using the software.The basic impedance(Z0),waveform amplitude(C wave、X wave、O wave)and Q-Z interval were calculated statistically.Results The waveform,Z0,C wave amplitude and Q-Z interval of various leads were coincident basically(P0.05).The Z0,C wave,X wave and O wave in females were bigger than those in males(P0.05),but the Q-Z interval in females was smaller than that in males(P0.001).The X wave amplitudes of left leads(E_1-E′_1,E2-E′_2,E_3-E′_3)were bigger than those of right leads(E_4-E′_4,E_5-E′_5,E_6-E′_6),and the difference was significant between E_1-E′_1 and E_5-E′_5(P0.05).The O wave amplitude of E_1-E′_1(maximum)was significantly bigger than that of E_4-E′_4(minimum)(P0.001).Conclusion The thoracic impedance differential graphs of six leads can lay the foundation for the waveform reconstruction of thoracic impedance graphs.
