Application and Analysis on Case Teaching in Traditional Chinese Medicine Courses

Case teaching has been applied broadly in basic and clinical courses in TCM colleges and universities.Compared with other teaching modes,case teaching,bearing the unique character of creating simulated therapeutic scene,remarkably enhances comprehensive qualities of both teachers and learners,thus guiding directions of reforms concerning TCM lectures. Effective case teaching depends on abundant knowledge storage and careful preparation and typical cases should be strictly selected according to difficulty level of lectures. The establishment of case library and improvement of teaching analysis system are also badly needed in case teaching.
