Mechanism for the Allocation of Limited Resource in Visual Working Memory

To explore mechanism for the allocation of limited resource in visual working memory,the researchers conducted a wealth of behavioral and imaging studies.These studies can be divided into three areas: the relationship between object complexity and visual working memory capacity,precision of object representation in visual working memory,and physiological basis of capacity limit of visual working memory.Through analyzing these studies,we could find there is still some question has not been resolved: whether there is a fixed number of "slots" in visual working memory as well as whether the flexibility in the allocation of limited resource resources,relationship between object complexity and precision of object representation,and brain mechanism for the dynamic allocation of limited resource in visual working memory.
