On Southern Melody Writen with the Present Style in the Early Ming Dynasty

The drama in the early period of the Ming Dynasty experienced unnegligible transition from the poetic play in Yuan Dynasty to the drama in the later period of Ming Dynasty.The drama itself did not show high achievements.And its theme focused on propagating the feudal ethics.Besides,its artistic style was mainly shown in pursuing elegance.In general,its creation tendency is summed up as "Writing southern melody with the present style ".The drama in that period was the product of the policy of "back to the ancients"carried out by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang after he overturned the ruling of Yuan Dynasty,which greatly influenced the dramas in both Ming and Qing Dynasty
