Grey Connection Analysis between Particle Size Distribution of Slag Powder and Its Activity Coefficient

The particle size distributions of slag powder were investigated by using Quantimet 600 Image Analysis. The lnfluence of particle size distributions on the activity coefficient of slag powder was also studied by the method of grey connection analysis. The results indicated that the volume fraction of 9.9~20.0 μm particles has a maximum effect on its activity coefficient. If there are two slag powder samples from the same source which have similar specific surface area, the sample with narrower distribution has lower early activity (7 d) according to analysis of Rosin Rammler method.
