Simulation of Wind Loading

Wang Zhihong(T. U. Karlsruhe, Germany )  
Based on the decomposition of cross-spectral density matrix, an efficient and practical method of wind loading simulation in along wind direction is presented. For the simulation, the following important wind properties (according to measurements ) are taken into account: the auto-spectrum varying with the height; the simultaneous inclusion of the co-and quadrature spectrum, the maximum of cross correlation function shifts to negative value of time and phase lag which is dependent on frequency etc. Finally,as an example, with the same parameters as those obtained from measurement, the wind velocity on different height levels are simulated and the results are discussed. Compared with the measurements, the simulated values agree fairly well with the measured results.
